In Alberta the company has two key projects, Alexander and Turin. Alexander was recently acquired; it consists of a 50-per-cent interest in a First Nation Oil and Gas Canada permit, with Sundance Energy Corp. acquiring the other 50 per cent. The Alexander First Nation permit comprises 6,946.17 gross hectares (17,365 gross acres), or approximately 27 sections of land. Our Turin project is a shallow light oil play with multiple well development potential.
In Quebec the Company has interests in four key permits covering ~174,000 acres / 37,100 net acres which are extensively located within, what is thought by industry experts, the prime fairway for potential commercial gas production. Netherland Sewell, one of the preeminent shale gas engineering firms who are based out of Houston prepared an Engineering Report that assigned approximately 5 TCF of gas resources in place on the Canadian Quantum lands.
